Dan Johnson, CPC, CNTC
Certified NeuroTransformational Coach with Performance Mastery

This program is held virtually via Zoom and open to ALL who wish to attend.

Why do leaders (or employees or coaching clients) still believe in their limiting beliefs and stories?  Why are observable, measurable facts accepted as truth for one person but not another?  Why is it that our thoughts seem to either work for us (raise our energy) or against us (drain our energy)?  And how can neuroscience research findings help us be more effective coaches when working with leaders whose thoughts are keeping them from achieving their full potential?

Based on the work of brain researchers including Dr. Dan Siegel, Dr. Iain McGilchrist, and Dr. Lisa Feldman Barrett, we’ll explore three phenomena -- Amygdala Hijack, Confirmation Bias, and Prediction Error – that can hinder a leader's effectiveness and limit his or her potential.  We’ll look at what physiologically takes place in the brain when these phenomena occur and what a coach can do (based on neuroscience research) to be effective with a leader (client) under these circumstances.

After participating in this session, you will be able to:

  • Define amygdala hijack, confirmation bias, and prediction error
  • Use coaching strategies supported by neuroscience to help clients when these phenomena occur

Join us in this interactive, easy-to-understand session where we explore whether neuroscience supports the axiom “seeing is believing” or if it’s really the other way around!
