Topic: Beyond a DEI Checklist: Embedding Inclusion into the Everyday Employee Experience

Why is it that organizations can achieve DEI targets while their employees fail to experience a sense of belonging? DEI “by the numbers” does not address the fundamental challenges organizations face when striving to foster a culture of inclusion. Policy and training alone cannot remove the unconscious bias all humans have.

Join Tanya Dacres, Senior Director, Inclusion & Diversity, and Tanja Tuck, Director, People Strategy, for Publicis Sapient, in a discussion of their organization’s journey to embrace Inclusion as a “way of being” instead of “something you do” and then move on. They will share the evolution of Publicis Sapient’s DEI strategy of Inclusive Culture and Inclusive Leadership, and how PS strives to go beyond traditional boundaries of DEI initiatives that often stall out at the achievement of compliance and target numbers. They will delve into the transformative power of behavior change and the integration of inclusive practices into every aspect of the organization, and share how discovering the warts along the way is part of the journey.

What you will walk away with:

An appreciation of the impact of how organization personality shapes ideas and policy, and tolerance for difference

A multitude of examples, big and small, to embed Inclusion and Core Values into the everyday, and the resulting impact on Engagement

An opportunity to engage in discussion to further your own experience and definition of Inclusion
