Have you been told that you need to be more strategic, or that you fail to see the big picture? If you’re like most people who’ve received this feedback, you’ve wondered how to develop such an elusive skillset. Or perhaps you believe you’re a strategic learning leader, but other leaders don’t see it. Strategic leaders know how to set meaningful direction, leverage stakeholders, achieve success, and make a difference in the areas that matter. They also know how to look and act strategic, helping the rest of the business to see that the learning function makes smart decisions and continually improves in the areas that matter.
Through the process of building her own successful career in the learning industry, Stacey Boyle, Ph.D, and her co-author of Be More Strategic in Business: How to Win Through Stronger Leadership and Smarter Decisions have developed a practical, manageable process for equipping learning leaders to focus on what’s most important to the business. Aspiring and current learning leaders will learn how to build their own development plans in order to gain fundamental knowledge, look and act strategic, make smart decisions, and excel in ways that are critical to business success. Participants will learn how to create a strategic plan that will produce wins for the business.
At the end of this session, you will be able to…
- Understand the foundational skills necessary to come across as a strategic partner to the business.
- Create and execute a strategic plan that supports what the organization is trying to achieve.
- Connect learning’s efforts to business results using business data.
- Make smart decisions and keep learning as you go to ensure you stay on top.
