The 21st Century Toolbox: Restock It with Social Learning

Do you find that building a learning strategy that incorporates the mindset of your distracted learners is a challenge? Are you still using methods from the 20th century as you create training? If so, it’s time to restock your toolbox!

The key to today’s learning is to build learner connectivity into your overall strategy. This is not just simply coming prepared with games and activities but to adjust to our overall toolbox to today’s connected society. Your learning toolbox likely needs to change, expand and adapt to your users and then you need to further adjust your toolbox to consider the needs of the business and of the moment.

In this session we will be taking your toolbox to the next level, incorporating different collaborative elements and learning new and richer ways to connect and engage your audience.  Note: To be fully immersed in the experience, please bring your laptop or mobile device.

At the end of this session, you will be able to:

  • Articulate the difference between social learning and social tools for learning
  • Plan your social learning strategy according to the needs/requirements of your participants
  • Use collaboration and collaboration tools to support learning outcomes
  • Recognize which tools will be of best benefit to drive learning connectivity
