Topic: Personal Learning Networks: A Modern Approach to Coaching and Mentoring

With the ever-accelerating business cycle, it becomes increasingly more challenging for employees to take extended time off task for training. While training will always be an essential component of enhancing organizational performance, manager-to-employee and peer-to-peer coaching are emerging as the most effective, least disruptive way to grow the capability and therefore the performance of your workforce.

Join us for an engaging and interactive 90-minute workshop specifically designed for Organizational Development (OD) practitioners seeking innovative tools and concepts to enhance their clients' or their own organization's performance. This session will delve into the power of Personal Learning Networks (PLNs), modern mentoring and coaching practices, and goal-setting strategies to drive personal and professional development.

In this hands-on workshop, you will:

Participate in the "Ask the Expert" exercise, which demonstrates the value of collaborative learning and the potential of leveraging shared experiences in organizational settings.

Explore the concept of Personal Learning Networks and learn how to create and implement highly effective PLNs that support growth and development within organizations.

Discover the unique value of mentoring and coaching in the workplace, and understand when to engage each to maximize the impact on professional development.

Examine the various types of learning relationships within PLNs, and assess the desired mix of relationships based on duration and formality for optimal organizational performance.

Master the Transformational Conversation Model (TCM) to enhance communication and facilitate transformative conversations that drive learning and development within organizations.

Learn how to apply the MAP Development Goals framework to support organizational growth, incorporating the TCM and other insights from the workshop.

As an OD practitioner looking to support your clients’ or your own organization's development, this workshop will provide valuable insights and practical tools to help you create a culture of continuous growth.
