Is your organization prepared to tell your human capital management (HCM) story publicly? As of 26 August 2020, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) ruled that effective 4QFY20, all public companies are required to disclose key human capital metrics and initiatives that investors would need to know to evaluate the company as a whole. The purpose of modernizing the disclosure statement is to allow investors to make more informed investment decisions. Public disclosure of HCM will also provide current/prospective employees insights into an organization’s people practices.

This new SEC mandate is a huge win for investors and employees while offering strategic opportunities for L&D to step up immediately as strategic business partners!

Join Dr. Stacey Boyle, Chief People Planner, Smarter People Planning, to learn about the SEC ruling and L&D's role in HCM Disclosure. Hint: you will need to help your organization tell your public HCM story and you need to start ASAP. In this session, we will discuss the steps you need to take to be prepared to report 4QFY20 and beyond to stay in compliance. Following a 45-minute presentation, Stacey will hold a 30-minute Q&A to discuss any questions you have about the ruling or what and how to report.

Stacey Boyle, Ph.D is a long-time outspoken advocate for learning and talent development. She knows the passion and impact learning professionals make every day for their organizations. She works effortlessly to advance the field as an influencer and thought leader. She takes pride in enabling my clients to drive measurable business impact by being strategic partners to the business and showing where they can move the needles that create wins.

To date, her two most significant contributions to the field have been designing and delivering the world-renowned LearningElite benchmarking program offered by Human Capital Media (aka CLO magazine). Through the LearningElite she was able to require global applicants to focus on strategic leadership in learning and development and to show how they impacted the business in ways that mattered. Additionally, she shares some of my best practices in her book “Be More Strategic in Business: How to Win through Stronger Leadership and Smarter Decisions,” co-authored with Diana Thomas, former McDonald’s CLO.

Her professional journey includes a decade of working as a learning strategist for clients of the top three eLearning vendors, evaluating learning programs for a Big 4 consulting firm, and leading the consulting division for a predictive analytics firm. Across her journey, she has been fortunate enough to design and deliver measurable change initiatives with Fortune 500 companies (e.g., McDonald’s, Verizon, BMW, Allergan pharmaceuticals), federal agencies (e.g., Defense Acquisition University, NASA), non-profits (e.g., Greater Twin Cities United Way and CareerEdge), and school districts.

She has a Ph.D. in applied behavioral studies – research and evaluation, an M.S. in psychometrics and a B.A. in psychology from Oklahoma State University.
