Eastern Illinois University is conducting a two-day workshop for talent development professionals. The purpose is to better understand the skills and competencies of talent development experts to create a new multi-disciplinary Training & Development graduate degree that will be offered through EIU.

ATDChi is dedicated to building and supporting the local talent development industry, and so we encourage members to assist EIU in helping to establish this curriculum.

The two-day workshop will be using the DACUM analysis methodology, and ideal participants will have competence in talent development, be forward-thinking, be confident and capable of verbalizing skills of the occupation, free from bias, and willing to attend both days of the workshop. The preference would be to have expert representation from all areas of talent development, including instructional design, facilitation, e-learning, management, performance improvement, and organizational development.

Through your participation, you will also have the opportunity to learn a system for connecting all phases of the curriculum development process. We will create a skills profile of the talent development, occupation as well as structured skills to determine the level of performance required to be successful in the field.
